Biography

Born and raised in Chicago, Michael moved to Missouri in 2001 to attend Truman State University, where in 2005 he earned a B.A. in English. While in undergrad, he was elected President of the Student Senate and served as an intern to the Minority Whip of the Missouri House of Representatives.

Michael matriculated to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he was a member of the UMKC Law Review and a twice-published member of the Urban Lawyer Journal. After his first year of law school, he transferred to the University of Kansas School of Law. In 2008 he received his J.D. with a certificate in tax law.

Currently attending New York University while pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation, Michael resides in Manhattan. He is a graduate editor of the NYU Journal of Law & Business and works as a law clerk for a commercial litigation law firm.
